Hi,
I have a problem sharing a printer using windows server 2012 r2, honestly i don't know if it is possible. My scenario is as follows:
I have a server which has Windows Server 2012 r2 installed on it. It has print services enabled, from which i am currently adding network (tcp/ip) printers and successfully sharing them over network using GPO.
All printers are being listed under: Print Management > Print Servers > SERVERNAME > Printers from where i can see print jobs, modify printers settings etc. (Which is very helpful for my needs).
What i want to do is, i have some printers which are currently connected to desktop pc's and shared directly from the PC, which is something that i want to change. I would like to know how i can add them to the server, and share them from the server where i
can view and change the settings from the same console as explained above. I don't know if it is possible or not. I have tested several settings, also added printers as local port from Print Management (Which locally from the server works, but when they are
shared over network from the server, the job gets to the server but showing Printing Error.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
