I am battling trying to configure clustered printers. I currently have a file share cluster and I am trying to just add the print spooler service. That is successful and it is online. I am also able to add a printer but it doesn't connect. When I browse to the server name and select View remote printers, I see the new printer but I am getting a 0x00000709 error stating the operation could not be completed. On one of the node itself the printer doesn't show up locally or installed.
Do I actually have to create a separate print service with a separate IP and storage? I just want to leverage what I have.
Any ideas are appreciated.
FYI, these are Win2K8 R2 SP1. The hotfix is not applicable.
