I have a utility server running 2008 r2, it serves as my print server, wsus server, spiceworks help desk db, blackberry exchange server, Symantec Backup Exec, and an Event Log Monitor server (complies errors from all servers and notifies me of errors).
I installed updates on the server and have since had problems with DCOM shutdown, not sure if it has to do with RPC service or RPC Endpoint Manager. When it pukes I can't even log in. The remote access flash and tells me "please wait". I have to press and hold the power button to restart and it works for a bit, then pukes again. Tells me some thing about an RPC error (I can't give more as I'm not at the office at the moment.) Any clues as to where to look. I'd like to fix it fast.
Any help would be appreciated.
