Server 2003 print spooler error 1067

Hello all -

I have a server 2003 R2 print server with over 75 printers tied to it.  After attempting to add a new HP printer, the printers disappeared and the spooler service gives me an error 1067 and will not start.  I have a backup print server that did not have the new HP on it.  I did a cleanspl on the main print server which enabled me to start the spooler service.  I then  imported the print registry from the clean backup server over to the main server.  Back to the error code again.  Any ideas?
