Scanning in Server 2008 over network

Hi,

I am running Server 2008 Enterprise (x64) and am trying to figure out how to enable scanning functions.

The scanner is a Brother MFC-6490CW multifunction device.  It has network connectivity, so I have always used it over the network.  Brother's drivers for Vista x64 won't run on Server 2008, and their website only has a printer driver for Server 2008.

A few months ago I was working on this and had to put it down, and don't really remember where I left off.  At this point, I thought I should come here directly and ask for some help.
