Hello,
We are having a problem that I'd like to run by the community.
Enviornment:
We have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2. This is the domain controller, fileserver, dhcp. This is running the x64 version. We have approx 200 users. Approx 90-100 are working off of terminal servers and the rest are working off of PCs. Most of the PCs are windows 7, but we still have a few XP pcs left around 25 or so. The users and the printers are spread between around six sites, connected via a T1.
We have 150 printers installed throughout our network. is server and all are shared. The problems are consistent across printers from multiple manufacturers we some lexmark and canon copiers.
Problem:
We have users that connect to our server via RDS and a terminal services farm and all of a sudden on Monday the printers stop responding. We send print jobs to the printers and the it just says "error" in the print queue. One of the terminal servers seems to respond a lot better than the other allowing some spotty print jobs. If I restart the print spooler, nothing changes I still get the "error" in the print queue. Ive tried restarted the servers and that doesnt help. Im not sure what to do, can anyone help me.
