RDS 2012 R2 & Print Server (2012 R2)

Hi All,

I've got a huge issue... Whoever can solve this is a genius!

Our environment :

2 x RDS Farms

 - RDS1a (Server 2012 R2)

 - RDS1b (Server 2012 R2)

 - RDS2a (Server 2012 R2)

 - RDS2b (Server 2012 R2)

2 x File Server

 - FSR1a (Server 2012 R2) - Stored Users Work Data

 - FSR1b (Server 2012 R2) - User Profile Disks are stored here

1 x Print Server (Server 2012 R2)

Scenario :

Our printers are being deployed via GPO to map all printers from the Print Server to the RDS servers (depending on the users OU - they get certain printers etc). We have decom'd an old print server and moved to a new one (we have stopped GPO from deploying using the old print server etc) however our old printers (from the old print server) still maps to all the RDS users, even if we delete the printer (right click remove) it reappears as if GPO is still lingering around (but its not).

This also causes issues whereby we cannot set a the new printers to default and the only way is to remove it and manually map it by going to : START > RUN\\PRINTSERVER and manually map the printer which works for a while until the user logs off for the day (next day, same issue).

Question :

1. How do I stop the old printers from mapping and clean them off the system once and for all?

2. Permanently set default printer (which must display the green tick) - if there is no green tick then we cannot print PDF docs)
